2025-26 League: Round 7 – racing on grass at Ducketts Common – Risley win, ahead of St Mary’s

We had wonderful weather for our first racing on grass of the season.

Risley came first, and a strong performance by St Mary’s in second and Stroud Green in third. But Stroud Green still have enough points to stay top of the leaderboard above Risley and then St Mary’s.

Each race was two laps around the kidney bean shaped course, with a tricky tight turn in the middle. Four teams took part and our British Cycling coach Nadjie was able to give everyone tips on gears before their practice laps.

Each team won at least one of the finals – St Mary’s and Stroud Green both won two.

In the boys races, from St Mary’s, Godsend finished ahead of his twin Godwin.

Massive thanks to all the teachers, riders and volunteers for taking the time to attend.

Looking forward to seeing you all at our upcoming visit to the Velopark on 22 May.
