Why cycle racing?

Cycle racing between primary schools is not common in the UK, but it is a great way for children to get inspired and motivated about cycling.

By promoting cycling both as a utility and sporting activity in tandem you can create a culture within a school where all the children are exposed to some aspects of cycling.

Other schools have shown how the catalyst for this culture can be via the racing team. In one primary school in Hackney, the number of children that cycle to school has increased fivefold since they started a cycle racing programme.
