2024-25 League, Round 8 – Road circuit racing at Lee Valley Velopark: Risley win, Stroud Green and St Mary’s come equal second

For round 8, six schools headed to Lee Valley Velopark for some really exciting racing on a 650 metre loop of the road circuit. Risley came first, just ahead of  St Mary’s and Stroud Green in joint second place.

Risley retain their position at the top of the Leaderboard, with North Harringay in second place just ahead of Stroud Green who have now overtaken South Grove.

The technically challenging road track – which includes a steep climb and a hairpin bend, requiring skilful use of gears – saw North Harringay win three of the finals. Risley and St Mary’s each won two and South Grove one.

Huge thanks to all the riders as well as staff and volunteers for making the journey across London – and as always, for all your enthusiastic cheering!

Our next race is at the American Garden in Finsbury Park on Fri 6 June at 10:30am.
